In this episode of WLP’s Virtual Homegirl, we celebrate Pride Month by discussing data from surveys conducted by WLP students on LGBTQ+ school climate, homophobia, transphobia and curricula in South L.A. during the 2022-2023 school year. Furthermore, WLP defines Pride Month for listeners and key terms such as “rainbow washing”. We also discuss ways to be a better ally to the LGBTQ+ community and conclude with sharing the work of our favorite queer artists.
